With a Mammoth floor-to-ceiling curved DJ booth, comprised of only European Oak, Moko is a project to be especially proud to have under the Don Heston arsenal. The subtlety of the French Oak’s grain alongside the audacious curve makes for a warm welcome on entry to the space. As the sister venue to Jumbi, Moko had to celebrate a rich diasporic history of collecting records and sharing music. With another back-to-audience approach, we aimed to create an environment that solely focused on the sonic experience and selection culture.
